Our crokinole kits are the ultimate expression of the crokinole game, containing not only a high-quality crokinole board but essential extras such as a padded carrying case for protection, storage and transport. Kits also come with enough discs for 4-player crokinole where each player plays their own colour! Kits are a good deal because they bulk all the items together at a lesser rate than buying them separately. And of course, they come with more sliding powder too!

About the Board in this Kit

Enjoy playing on this Tournament-style and speed crokinole board, handcrafted in Canada with premium select Canadian Maple.

The playing surface is a glassy smooth, 26-inch marvel with clean UV lines printed beneath the finish. The multi-step lacquering and buffing process applied to this board ensures a consistent, smooth playing surface for a fun game of crokinole.

Everyone and anyone who plays on this board will enjoy the latex-covered posts which provide an amazing bounce, sometimes landing the crokinole disc in the middle 20-point hole after both calculated or non-calculated shots!

The back of the board is painted entirely black with a white checkerboard gracing the center. Clean feet are installed on the bottom for complete stabilization of the board.

The Story Behind The Crokinole Canada Board

Ted Fuller of Crokinole Canada decided to venture out and improve various features on tournament-style Crokinole boards. That was the simple premise behind the development of the highly-anticipated Crokinole Canada board.

The board itself is a result of much customer feedback. Questions coming from customers perusing Crokinole Canada’s showroom at 5 Industrial Road and online were something like this: “Where are the numbers on these boards?” and “Is there checkers on the back of this board?” It made Ted stop and think that it was time to introduce a new board in the crokinole board arena. With that in mind, he contacted his brother-in-law and his brother-in-law’s business partner to come up with something amazing - something that would bring Crokinole back as a 21st Century Game.

To do so, Ted brought 2 tournament-level boards meeting NCA specifications to the craftsmen in order to achieve tournament size specifications and add some winning crokinole board traits which were missing from existing tournament size boards.

This is the first time that a tournament board integrates crisp, smaller scoring numbers for games up to 100. Many traditional crokinole players are comfortable playing with that point system as they grew up doing so (I know I grew up using the 5, 10, 15, and 20-point system).

And that, my friends, is the story behind The Crokinole Canada Board. We have had tons of fun coming up with this board and trust that it will afford you many hours of sweet memories and enjoyment.

Awesome Board and Nice Kit!

Just got my kit in yesterday, and I'm loving it so far! The craftsmanship is splendid, absolutely love the numbered inlays. It is a lot better than the community board I have played on at my local game store. The carrying case is better quality than I thought, and it is nicely padded. I think it will hold up nicely. My only complaint is that the discs, or buttons, that are included in the kit are a bit inconsistent in their gliding ability. Some are a bit smoother than others, but it's not that big of a deal. I have already played a few hours worth, and it's already a family favorite. Can't wait to play a tourney! Thanks so much Crokinole Canada!

Thank you so much for your kind review! I agree the craftsmanship on this board is really top of the line. They do the ditch extremely well on this board and the surface has a great smoothness to it. It also feels like a finished product because the back is painted. No cut corners here! So glad you like it! And glad you like the case too. We have bulked up on them since they are really good quality and people like them a lot! As for the discs, I'm not sure why some were a little slower, I think with every disc one side is slower than the other just because of the way they mill crokinole discs. I know we have the highest quality discs that can be sourced (made in the USA!) and they are very smooth with no nipple on one side. So that could be why. Awesome board!

We decided to get a crokinole board when our London, ON cousins posted some videos on facebook. We shopped around and decided to go with Crokinole Canada. Also the boards looked to be of higher quality than others in the pictures.

When looking at the website there was a dizzying array of boards and kits to choose from, so we requested a callback. Ted was able to quickly assess our desires and point out the correct kit to get. We are very happy with our choice. The only thing that we didn't get with the "The Crokinole Canada Tournament Board Game Kit (Meets NCA Standards)" was the holders for the discs. So we wrote an email and Ted shipped off some, which are on their way. Otherwise the kit had everything that one might need. Nothing extra to buy.

The game surface is really smooth and polished, making the discs slide really well. The kit came with some gliss that makes the board amazingly slippery. With the gliss the discs kept sliding into the gutter, so we had to level the board on our table with some paper. I think the discs slide more than on an air hockey table!

We wanted to be able to send the discs around the outside gutter to return them, and this board makes it easy to do that since it doesn't have cork or felt in the gutter.

We are extremely pleased with our new board, and are looking forward to a tournament or something with our cousins, when we can get together.

I highly recommend this board and this kit.
