The Royal Red is a Canadian maple tournament specification crokinole board. It has a 1/2 inch tall super flat and fast playing surface. The unique aspect of this board is its pleasing aesthetic with a reddish / burgundy stained ditch. It combines both form and function very well being round in shape, allowing discs to be transferred back to the opponent during rounds through the gutter. This board will work well at tournaments and for regular home play. Consider adding simple L brackets to your order in order to easily display and play on this board!

Features:

  • Meets NCA Standards - Standard tournament crokinole board with 26" playing surface
  • 30 1/4" x 1 5/8" tall frame and the frame thickness is 1/4"
  • 1/2" tall playing surface
  • Multi-step waxing and buffing process for one of the fastest boards on the market
  • Posts are thick brass screws covered in latex tubing (also tournament size and style)
  • 35mm "20" hole
  • 1 7/8" wide finished burgundy-coloured gutter
  • Made of premium maple MDF
  • Composite base to prevent warpage downwards over time (called cupping)
  • Contoured feet on the base to lift the board slightly off the table, so it can be moved easily without scratching the table
  • Ditch is made of finished MDF which makes sliding the pieces around between gameplay very smooth and easy

Required with the board (select discs above):

  • 26 Large crokinole discs (24 needed for the game, plus 1 extra of each colour)
  • Your choice of disc colours: black, natural, white, red, blue, green, yellow, orange, purple, pink, light blue, lime green, and walnut stain
  • Please note: The discs are flat on both sides which is tournament standard.
Included with the board:
  • 100 grams of fast crokinole board powder (put a small amount in the ditch and rub the disc on it before shooting)

The set with the crokinol table

I am very satisfied with the quality of the crokinol games table. The only disappointment is that the base discs were not included in the set. I had to make another order for the discs.

Excellent Product

I was recently introduced to Crokinole. I bought a cheap board to try it out to see if we enjoyed it and it was a hit even though that board was of poor quality. So, we invested in a Royal Red board and what a difference. Such high quality makes for an excellent game experience. The playing surface is so smooth the discs seem to float. We love the rubber pegs. This was built with care and attention to detail. We can't wait for our next game night.

So Many 20s!

I grew up playing Crokinole with my grandparents and it remains a family tradition when we get together. I have introduced the game to friends who had never heard of it before and they love it.

Since we replaced my cheap board with "Big Red", our enjoyment of the game has skyrocketed! The playing surface is as smooth as glass and the rubber bumpers really introduce some unpredictable ricochets into our matches. Thank goodness our board came with a 20s cup because we all seem to have gotten better at the game. Big Red working his magic, I shouldn't wonder.

We would call ourselves "over-the-moon" satisfied.

Beautiful board

The board is beautiful, solid, and fast. I’ll probably order a rack to display it. It came very well packaged (good thing because ups was pretty rough with it) extremely pleased with my purchase. Not a pro at it, but pretty sure this board could get you to that level.
