The Baltic Bircher by Crokinole Canada - Large Traditional Crokinole Board Game Set

The Baltic Bircher crokinole board is the style of board that many Canadians grew up playing on and making lots of great memories while doing so. It is large and accomodating for 2-4 players. The octagon shape is very traditional to Canada and the cherry rails on this board are aesthetically appealing.

This particular board was designed by a craftsman named Tom who produced many of the boards for Crokinole Canada. Tom was so busy making these boards that he had to ask Crokinole Canada to find a larger maker who would be able to handle the volume. From there, Crokinole Canada worked with Woodland Horizon to make further refinements such as the cherry rail, UV printed lines, and latex covered brass posts. Since then, the board has moved to yet another maker where the birch surface was replaced with a smoother and higher quality maple mdf surface. We kept the name "The Baltic Bircher" because that was the wood in the original design and it has a nice ring to it.

The Baltic Bircher meets all the needs for a family that doesn't need a tournament level board yet wants something large and beautiful that will last for generations to come.

Required with the board (select discs above):

• 26 Large crokinole discs (24 needed for the game, plus 1 extra of each colour)
• Your choice of disc colours: black, natural, white, red, blue, green, yellow, orange, purple, pink, light blue, lime green, and walnut stain
• Please note: The discs are flat on both sides which is tournament standard.

• 100 grams of Crokinole board powder for faster play (put a small amount in the ditch and rub the disc on it before shooting or sprinkle a small amount on the playing surface)

Please Note:
This board's wood playing surface sometimes is patched, meaning there is an oval patch in the wood. This is common with any kind of plywood and does not affect the gameplay at all. It affects the appearance only slightly and is only noticeable upon closer inspection. So if you are concerned about the appearance please add a note at checkout stating you'd like a board without patched wood. Thanks!
